In the legislative session which just adjourned this spring, WEDA
successfully lobbied for substantive changes in the Tax Incremental
Financing Law. These five experts will focus on the applications of
TIF, provide an update on how the State will review and certify Tax
Incremental Financing Districts, overview the impact of the new law,
and offer insight into how TIF can be applied in the real world.

Meet LOIS LocationOne Information System
LocationOne Information System (LOIS) is an Internet-based
application developed to accommodate state, county metro,
community, building and site data. The State of Wisconsin is
expected to subscribe to LOIS and offer Wisconsin communities the
opportunity to use the System as a tool to market their community
information. Jamie Wall and Mike Armiak will discuss the benefits
and advantages that Wisconsin communities will derive from the
use of LOIS. Julie Ruehle will demonstrate how LOIS works.
