Governor’s Conference on Economic Development - WEDA's biggest education and networking event of the year is its Governor’s Conference on Economic Development. The three-day conference includes educational sessions covering the most important economic development topics and issues of the time, exhibits, receptions and other networking opportunities. Great opportunity to meet other economic development counterparts do their part to shape Wisconsin's economic development future within their community. The Conference is held every February in Madison, WI.

Spring Meetings - These education sessions are held at various locations around the state (regional groups). These sessions keep members up-to-date on economic development topics.

Fall Regional Conference - The Fall Regional Conference rotates location every year, focusing on hands on approach to Economic Development.

Business Day in Madison - WEDA joins the annual Business Day in Madison legislative conference to discuss economic issues important to the organization and State. Business Day also provides a unique opportunity to sit down one-on-one with your local legislator and discuss issues specific to your community or region.

Be Bold Wisconsin: One Year Later

In July 2010, Be Bold Wisconsin: The Wisconsin Competitiveness Study was unveiled. This study, commissioned by the Wisconsin Economic Development Association (WEDA), the Wisconsin Counties Association and Competitive Wisconsin, Inc., focuses squarely on producing a well-reasoned, executable economic development strategy for improving Wisconsin competitiveness and positioning the state for business growth, job creation and increased per capita income of our residents.
