State opens new round of Broadband Expansion Grants

Governor Scott Walker announced yesterday that $7.68 million in Broadband Expansion Grants have been awarded to 46 projects that will increase access to advanced broadband in rural communities across Wisconsin.

The Governor also announced the next round of Broadband Expansion Grants are now open. The Public Service Commission of Wisconsin is now accepting applications for an additional $7 million in grant awards. Applications for the new round of grants must be submitted by July 16, 2018.

Broadband Expansion Grant Details:

  • OVERVIEW:  The PSC will award approximately $7 million in broadband expansion grants in FY 2019. The application process is now open.
  • APPLICATION DEADLINE:  Grant applications must be uploaded to the PSC’s Electronic Regulatory Filing System by July 16, 2018.
