Stay up-to-date on the latest legislative activity in the State Capitol with the WEDA Bill Tracker

With the legislative session coming to a close, it was an extremely busy week in the State Capitol, but one that brought some fantastic news for WEDA and economic development in Wisconsin. Both the Assembly and Senate were in session this week, passing a wide-array of legislation, including a number of bills that will advance economic growth in Wisconsin.

The Assembly and Senate both passed wetland regulatory reform legislation (AB 547) and the Historic Tax Credit restoration bill (SB 668). In addition, the Assembly passed the Rural Economic Development Fund bill (AB 912), as well as legislation (AB 811) that will provide additional funding for WEDC’s THINK-MAKE-HAPPEN talent attraction marketing campaign.

WEDA will keep members informed on the latest legislative developments as the Legislature completes its work for the session and will provide a full legislative session wrap-up report after lawmakers adjourn for the year. In the meantime, please visit the WEDA Bill Tracker for a snapshot of the latest activity on economic development-related legislation.
